COVID-19 UPDATE & GUARANTEES:

Masterclasses

If you are a supervising psychologist who needs to attend a Masterclass this year the Psychology Board of Australia is relaxing the requirement in the guidelines that supervisors need to be based in a rural or remote area to attend online/webinar master classes. This requirement is waived until 30 September 2020. Additionally, we will be moving all of our face-to-face Masterclasses to an online format for the April-June period, and will look at further adjustments in the second half of the year if required.

If you have paid for a face-to-face Masterclass that is being moved to an online format, and are unable to attend any of the online Masterclasses offered, we will provide you with a full refund. If you pay for a face-to-face workshop scheduled for the second half of the year, and changes need to be made because of COVID-19, we will offer you a full refund if you are unable to attend an online Masterclass in its place.

Full Training Part 2: Skills Workshop

Currently the Board of Psychology is requiring Part 2 of Full Training to be provided as a face-to-face workshop, as this is exclusively a skill-development workshop that relies heavily on participant interaction (e.g. role plays). If you have paid/pay for Part 2 of Full Training (face-to-face skills workshop) scheduled for later this year and changes need to be made to the dates because of COVID-19, we will offer you a full refund if you are unable to attend the rescheduled dates. Additionally, if the Board changes the requirements for Part 2 of Full Training we will contact you immediately and offer you alternatives or a refund.

The full training must be successfully completed in sequential order. You will be withdrawn from a course and a full refund paid if you do not meet eligibility requirements.

Important Information for Online Masterclasses for Supervising Psychologists: Board eligibility to attend an online masterclass is based on where you live. If you live in an inner-regional area or major city you are generally considered not to be eligible to complete an online masterclass as your access to face-to-face workshops is considered to be sufficient. For more detailed information please see Am I eligible to complete an online (videoconference) Masterclass? in FAQs or contact the Board directly. As these Masterclass are open to other health professionals and are completed by Psychologists for CPD reasons, we will not be checking your eligibility to attend an online masterclass so please read the provided information carefully. By registering for an online masterclass you are confirming your eligibility to attend.
