Interview with JCU medical student Grant Billingham

James Cook University fifth year medical student, Grant Billingham, loves the outdoors.  After trying his hand at a number of jobs and national athletics, Grant decided he wanted to be a GP in rural and remote Australia. Listen to Grant from Wagga Wagga speak on his career pathway to pursue a career in medicine. Grant is gaining clinical experience in Mount Isa and Cloncurry before heading back to Mackay for his final year of study.  His placement was coordinated by the JCU Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health Centre, which delivers rural training experiences for medical, nursing, midwifery, dental and allied health students.
