Terms of Use

1. JCU Murtupuni operating hours are from 08:00am to 05:00pm. As such, bookings made for activities beginning at 08:00am may be subject to a 15-minute delay as the facilities are prepared for use. 2. The organiser/facilitator is required to report to JCU reception to be given access to the facilities and to be advised of the building’s emergency procedures. It is the organiser/facilitator’s responsibility to relay this information to all activity participants. 3. The organiser/facilitator is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants associated with the activity. 4. Organisers/facilitators will be responsible for room setup and pack down. All furniture and equipment must be returned to initial placement and arrangement after use. 5. Organisers/facilitators and participants are not allowed to alter the settings and/or setup of the IT or audio-visual equipment. Please bring all presentations and documents on a USB flash drive or prepare to access them through a cloud drive, as you will not be permitted to use your personal laptop. Please note: • JCU Murtupuni does not organise catering. All catering needs must be met by event organisers/facilitators. • The kitchen and tearoom are communal areas for staff, students, participants, and other members of the community. Should you choose to utilise these facilities, please ensure that they are left clean at the conclusion of your event and that you do not take anything that does not belong to you or your organisation.
