Inter-professional Learning Opportunities

Simulated scenarios, real learning experiences.

Clinical Education Simulation Unit

The Clinical Education Simulation Unit (CESU) is a state-of-the-art simulation training facility at the Centre for Rural and Remote Health. It is used for the education of health professionals and students undertaking allied health, nursing, medical, dental and other health science placement and courses. Students can join in on just in time training, scheduled curriculum skills, inter-professional sessions or remote context scenarios.

While participating in simulation scenarios, students learn the value of teamwork, communication and leadership in emergency and remote context situations.

State-of-the-art clinical skills labs are located in Mount Isa, Cloncurry and Longreach. Students have access to pocket centres in Emerald and Weipa.
