Murtupuni Supervisor Training Program

for Psychologists and other Allied Health Professionals

Welcome to the psychology and other allied health supervisor training program. This training is a collaborative initiative of the Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health (MCRRH) and the College of Healthcare Sciences (CHS) at James Cook University. We are a Psychology Board of Australia approved training provider for supervisor training.

This training has been developed with a rural and remote focus and uses an interprofessional education (IPE) model of learning. It is open to any health professional looking to develop their supervisory skillset. As a rural and remote training organisation, our supervisor training program includes developing competency in rural and remote supervision.

Psychologists aiming to become a Board-approved supervisor

You will need to complete our Full Training consisting of Parts 1, 2 and 3. Our program is only offered as a package deal because each part builds on the previous part.

Psychologists who want to maintain their status as a Board-approved supervisor

You will need to complete a Masterclass once every 5 years. The Board will remind you when you need to renew your supervisor status. Our Masterclass Workshop Calendar offerings are updated in November every year.

Allied Health Professionals looking to develop their supervisory skillset

You can attend the Full Training or Masterclasses depending on your preference. We encourage other health professionals to participate in our training programs.
